In Poland, the Mass Events Safety Act requires the organiser to submit a procedure in case of fire or other emergency with the application for an event permit. We prepare these procedures for the venue and the duration of the event, and have delivered several hundred of them for events across Poland.
Procedure
Before a permit for a mass event is issued, the competent local authorities must give their opinion: the Police commander, the State Fire Service (PSP) commander, the emergency medical services provider and the state sanitary inspector.
These opinions directly determine whether the head of the municipality (wójt, mayor or city president) grants the permit. The organiser must enclose with the application a procedure in case of fire or other local emergency at the venue and during the event.
Thresholds
The number of places made available is determined in accordance with the building and fire safety regulations.
Engineering support
Preparing the procedure requires expertise in fire and public safety. Evacuation arrangements and capacity often need to be checked - for this we run evacuation simulations and compare the results with the required evacuation time.
Many venues were not designed for mass events with increased occupancy. In such cases we prepare an additional fire engineering expertise and handle approval with the Regional Fire Service Headquarters (KW PSP).
Tell us the type of event, the venue and the expected number of participants - we will prepare the procedure.
